How many owners can attend group classes?
A maximum of 2 so that dogs do not become distracted.
Where are you based?
What if my dog comes in season or becomes ill during the block of classes so cannot attend?
As we are training you and not your dog, we recommend you come along without your dog so that you do not miss any content.
What do I need to bring to lessons?
You will need a slip lead and whistle. The slip lead length and width is dependant on your dog and preference. Avoid leads with stretch in them.
Whistles – ideally a 210.5 or 211.5 acme whistle. Both leads and whistles can be purchased from The Working Puppy Company at the start of a lesson or block of classes, or independently.
Do you offer behavioural training?
Yes we do, training and behaviour go hand in hand.
Do you use treats for training?
No treats! We use appropriate praise from the owner in the form of touch, eye contact and verbal praise. A lot of dogs are not treat orientated, and we believe the dog should be behaving for you not the treat!
Can you come to us for training?
Most of our lessons take place at our facility at Wester Fintray Farm apart from initial puppy consultations. We do sometimes use the village of Kintore to work on issues such as traffic. We can come to you but prices are based on travel time as well as mileage.
How do I know which 1:1 training package is right for me?

What do I need to wear?
All our lessons take place outside, in all weather! In the colder months and wet weather please dress appropriately.
What happens if a lesson is cancelled?
We will post the cancellation on our Facebook page and email you to let you know as early as possible. The lesson will then be re-scheduled.
What do I do if I can't attend a lesson?

Do you have toilet facilities?
I’m afraid we don’t at present. Work in progress!
